-
Head to the Piscatoris Fishing Colony, northwest of the Gnome Stronghold, and talk to Herman Caranos near the entrance to the colony. He will tell you that the fishing colony is being attacked by sea trolls and will ask you to go to the Wise Old Man, in Draynor Village, for help. A short cut scene will then occur, during which Herman will tell about the Wise Old Man's adventure in an attempt to convince you.
Note: The easiest way to reach Piscatoris Fishing Colony is by using the Eagles' Peak lodestone, Phoenix lair teleport scroll, the Fairy code AKQ, or the Spirit kyatt's teleport option. If these options are not available for you, then head to entrance of the Gnome Stronghold. From there, walk west and follow the fence to the north until you reach two people next to a row boat. Kathy Corkat will offer a ride to the colony for 50 coins (or for free if you Ring of charos (a) equipped).
-
Make your way to Draynor Village and ask the Wise Old Man, at his house north of the bank, if he would like to go on a quest. He will agree to help the colony but he needs 5 Blood runes, 10 Lava runes, and 10 Mist runes first. Give him the runes and he will tell you to meet him at the the Piscatoris Fishing Colony.
Note: The easiest way to reach Draynor Village is by using the Draynor Village lodestone or the Amulet of glory (4) teleport option.
-
Return to the to Piscatoris Fishing Colony and you will find the Wise Old Man waiting outside instead of Herman Caranos. Talk to him and enter the nearby hole. As soon as you have climbed out of the hole, 10 Sea trolls (level 63) will attack you. It is advised to turn on Protect from Melee and use Air spells. The Wise Old Man will help, however during the battle he will run out of runes and say "Blast - I'm out of runes". You can supply the Wise Old Man with more runes to keep aiding you in the battle, but this is just an option as you can easily kill all of the trolls by yourself.
-
Once the battle is over, go through the colony gates and talk to Herman Caranos at his house, just northeast of the gates. The Wise Old Man will appear next to him. Herman will ask you to help out Franklin Caranos and Arnold Lydspor while he and the Wise Old Man plan the defenses for the colony.
Note: You may search Herman Caranos' desk at his house to find Herman's book, which tells the history of the Wise Old Man.
-
Speak with Franklin Caranos, wandering around near the gates, and he will need your help to repair the colony's western walls. Franklin will ask you to smith 5 Iron sheets using his metal press. Before you can make sheets, you will need to repair his firebox and metal press in the house to the north with the small furnace. Place a Log into the firebox at the back of the metal press and then light it. Now, use each of the 5 Iron bars on the metal press to make the 5 Iron sheets.
-
Head to the northwestern corner of the Piscatoris Fishing Colony and use each of the 5 Iron sheets on the broken wall to repair it. When you have repaired the wall, report back to Franklin.
-
Now, speak with Arnold Lydspor, at the bank in the center of the colony. He will tell you that he needs 5 Fresh monkfish (Cooked) for his store. Go northwest to the fishing spot and catch 5 Fresh monkfish (Raw). Once you have them, cook them on the range in the southwest corner of the colony and give the 5 Fresh monkfish (Cooked) to Arnold. He will tell you to go back to Herman Caranos.
Note: While fishing, you will be attacked by different level Sea trolls. Arnold will not accept Monkfish that has been bought from others.
-
Return to Herman Caranos and he will instruct you to head to the Wizards' Guild in
Yanille to fetch an army. In the Wizards' Guild, speak to WizardFrumscone in the basement. He will not be able give you an army but will tell you to pay a visit to Malignius Mortifer instead.
Note: The easiest way to reach Yanille is by using the Yanille lodestone, the Watchtower teleport spell (requires 58 Magic), or the Fairy code DJP.
-
Travel NorthWest of Port Sarim and ask Malignius Mortifer for help with the colony. He will take the 7 Regular bones and request that you go to the Crafting Guild to ask for advice on how to carry the bone seeds.
Note: The easiest way to reach Port Sarim is by using the Port Sarim lodestone, the Explorer's ring's Cabbage-port option, or the Clan vexillum's teleport option.
-
Head west to the Crafting Guild. Once there, ask the youngest Master Crafter at the pottery wheels for advice on how to carry the bone seeds. He will tell you that all you need are an Empty pot and a Pot lid. Use both items on each other to make an Airtight pot and give this to Malignius Mortifer. He will put the bone seeds into the Airtight pot and seal it. He will give you the Bone seeds then teleport you back to the Piscatoris Fishing Colony.
-
Before you proceed, it is advised to visit a bank and prepare yourself for the final battle. Take out armor, a weapon, food and Prayer potions/Prayer renewals. Return to the Piscatoris Fishing Colony and enter Herman Caranos' house. Hand him the Bone seeds and a cut scene will occur, in which your army will first kill some Sea trolls. After your army has defeated the Sea trolls, the Wise Old Man kill a Sea troll general.
-
Now, you will need to kill the Sea Troll Queen (level 91). She will attack with Magic and Melee, so the Protect from Magic prayer is advised. Also, be warned that she will drain your Prayer points at the beginning of the fight, so use Prayer potions/Prayer renewals, or just watch your Life points and eat some food. If you are not within melee range, then she will drain your Prayer but only use Magic attacks. A possible strategy is to wear your best armor and melee her.
Note: A Dwarf cannon does not work and will simply disappear. If you die, your gravestone will appear next to the hole outside of the Piscatoris Fishing Colony.
-
Once the battle is over, talk to Herman Caranos to claim your reward.
