Talk to Icthlarin near the ritual site after completing all Easy tasks to obtain the Underworld Grimoire 1, 10-4,096 Coins per achievement, and an Antique lamp granting 2,000 experience in a skill of your choice over level 20.

At all times:
When worn:
  • Ashes sent to Bank when collected
  • Bones and Big bones sent to Focus Storage when collected (toggleable)
  • 2.5% chance per Impure essence to create extra runes
  • +3% Experience for dispelling Ritual Disturbances
  • 10% chance to create 4-dose Necromancy potions while in Um
Can also be operated for 10 teleports to the Um smithy per day.


Medium Tasks:
Talk to Frank North of the tavern after completing all Medium tasks to obtain the Underworld Grimoire 2, 10-4,096 Coins per achievement and an Antique lamp granting 10,000 experience in a skill of your choice over level 50.

When worn:

Talk to Kili in the Um Smithy after completing all Hard tasks to obtain the Underworld Grimoire 3 and an Antique lamp granting 25,000 experience in a skill of your choice over level 70. You can speak to Explorer Jack for 10-4,096 Coins per achievement.

Elite Tasks:
Talk to Crunchy in the Last Call pub after completing all Elite tasks to obtain the Underworld Grimoire 4 and an Antique lamp granting 40,000 experience in a skill of your choice over level 80. You can speak to Explorer Jack for 10-4,096 Coins per achievement.

And They Called Him Weapon Poison+++ Kill a ghost troll with Necromancy in the cave entrance to Trollgrav. - Necromancy! Can be completed with tier 10 gear. f2p
Basic Soul Forgery Upgrade a piece of Death Skull or Deathwarden equipment to tier 20. - 15 Crafting OR Smithing
- Kili Row		 Any gear piece upgrade will work. p2p
Damage Without Consequences Use the Finger of Death ability while having 6 stacks of Necrosis to avoid draining any adrenaline. - 13 Necromancy Touch of Death ability generates 4 stacks of Necrosis; Necromancy ability generates 2 stacks while under the effect of Living Death. Use both to create your stack then attack with Finger of Death. Monster does not have to be defeated. f2p
Don't Lose Your Focus Deposit a ritual focus object into the focus storage at the City of Um ritual site. - Necromancy! Any Ritual focus will work. f2p
I'm Ready To Believe You! Dispel any ritual disturbance while performing a Necromancy ritual. - 5 Necromancy

Lesser Ritualist Complete a Lesser Necroplasm ritual. - 5 Necromancy

- 50 Necromancy
- Kili Row		 Any piece will work. Must have completed the associated Task set to learn how to upgrade.
Tis Merely a Flesh Rune Craft some flesh runes. - 40 Runecrafting
- Rune Mythos		 Any number of runes can be created; Flesh altar is on the South side of the pocket dimension.
Bone-A Fide Shield Use the defensive ability Reflect while the Lesser Bone Shield incantation is active. - 25 Necromancy
- 37 Defence
- Rune Mythos		 This will require 10 Bone runes and 10 Spirit runes to complete. 5 of each to cast Lesser Bone Shield and 5 of each to use a defensive. You do not have to be in combat to complete this task.
Command & Calcium Use the Command Skeleton Warrior ability. - 20 Necromancy
- Necromancy!
- "Command Skeleton Warrior" ability unlocked		 Ability unlocked with 50 souls from the Well of Souls. Conjuring a skeleton will require 1 Ectoplasm.
Dying To Get In Teleport to the City of Um using the City of Um Teleport incantation. - 24 Necromancy
- Rune Mythos		 Incantation uses 5 Spirit runes to cast.
Glyph It A Try Use any alteration glyph in a ritual. - 30 Necromancy
- Necromancy!		 Alteration glyphs are any tier: Attraction, Multiply, Protection, and Speed.
Mourning Ritual Complete a communion ritual using a memento. - 5 Necromancy
- Necromancy!		 Any memento will work. Mementos include: Broken, Fragile, Spirit, Robust, and Powerful.
My Undead Can Beat Up Your Undead While in Varrock Sewers, have either a Putrid Zombie or Vengeful Ghost conjured while fighting the matching creature. - 40 Necromancy
- Rune Mythos
- "Conjure Putrid Zombie" OR "Conjure Vengeful Ghost" ability unlocked		 Both abilities can be unlocked at 400 souls from the Well of Souls and requires 1 Talent point to unlock each. If you have not yet either unlock, it is suggested to get the Vengeful ghost first.

Once you have either one unlocked, travel to the Varrock Sewers and conjure it in the appropriate area.
We All Bloat Down Here Make an enemy apply Bloated to at least 2 targets on death. - 48 Necromancy Recommended to be done in a crowded area such as the God Wars Dungeon without a God item on so as to maximize splatter. Alternatively you can use an Aggression potion on lower level creatures such as Goblins.


Hard Tasks:

Ghost Hunter Catch a ghostly impling while wearing a full set of ghostly robes. - 68 Hunter
- The Curse of Zaros		 Ghostly robes can be reclaimed by following the same path for The Curse of Zaros that you originally completed and Ghostly imps randomly spwan throughout the City of Um. Simply keep your eyes peeled while completing the other tasks.
A Fungal Fun Ghoul Spin some fungal bowstring at the spinning wheel in the City of Um. - 82 Fletching Fungal bowstring is made from 5 Tempered fungal shaft. The Spinning wheel is found near the Former Master Crafter.
Isn't Mushroom Down Here Plant some morchella mushrooms in the City of Um. - 74 Farming
- 80 Necromancy		 You simply need to plant the Morchella mushroom spore in the farming to the East. They do not need to be grown or harvested.
Do You Like Jazz? Rest whilst listening to the Dead Beats in the City of Um. - That Old Black Magic Simply activate your Rest while standing near the Band Stand in the City of Um.
Food for the Sole Catch and cook a ghostly sole in the City of Um. - 66 Cooking
- 66 Fishing		 Raw ghostly sole can be caught with a Fishing rod and Fishing bait (baitless fishing perks can work) in South East Um. From there you can either make a fire and cook it near the pond OR walk to the building just North of it and use the range to make Ghostly sole.
Necro Necronium Smith a necronium bar at the smithy in the City of Um. - 70 Smithing Necronium bar is made from Necrite ore and Phasmatite. The Smithy can be quickly accessed by using the telepor on either of the lower level Grimoire.
My, My, Miasma Craft some miasma runes. - 60 Runecrafting
- Rune Mythos		 Miasma rune require Impure essence to be created. The closest bank to the Dark Portal is the one at the Smithy. Even creating just 1 is enough, though since you are in the area anyway, it is advised to bring a full stack of Impure essence (use Rune pouches to carry more!).
Passing the Test Create a passing bracelet, performing each step in the City of Um. - 68 Magic
- 79 Crafting
- Mystical Moonstone (Achievement)		 Steps do not have to be created at the same time or for the same item, however, you will need to 1. cut a Moonstone (from Uncut Moonstone), 2. Make a Moonstone bracelet (uses Ensouled bar), 3. Enchant it (Enchant lvl 5, Normal spellbook - 15 Water rune, 15 Earth rune, 1 Cosmic rune) all within the City.
Volley Ghoul Hit an enemy with Volley of Souls with at least 3 residual soul stacks within the City of Um. - 66 Necromancy Best location to complete this is in the Troll Cave (South East) given the number of opponents and the fact it is the only Combat specific location in the city (Rasial's Citadel boss encounters do not count). Alternatively, it can be completed during a duel provided the soul number and volley requirements are met.


Elite Tasks:

All Elite tasks (excluding Undead to Rites: 10 Runescore) are worth 25 RuneScore each. All achievements require membership.

Undead to Rites Teleport to the Ungael ritual site using the Ungael Teleport incantation. - Requiem for a Dragon Teleport requires 5 Spirit rune to cast. Can be cast in any location to count.
Down with the Disturbances Dispel 6 ritual disturbances within a single ritual. - Necromancy! Ritual can be completed at either the Um or Ungael ritual site. Any ritual (tier 3 recommended) can be performed and any disturbance can be cleared even if it is a duplicate type. The main thing to remember is that higher Spirit Attraction will help draw in Disturbances.
He's My Berry Pie Give a blueberry pie to Thalmund in the City of Um. - Kili Row (Task VII) Bring Thalmund a Blueberry pie when he arrives in the City of Um on game reset days.
B.Y.O.B. Make an overload potion within The Last Call in the City of Um. - 96 Herblore
- Necromancy!		 Only the last step of creating an Overload (3) HAS to be completed (rest can be made from scratch or bought, doesn't matter) but it must be created within the pub (near the Band Stand).
A Sorrow State of Affairs Activate the Sorrow prayer over the River Noumenon. - 90 Necromancy
- 95 Prayer
- Nomad's Elegy		 The Sorrow Prayer can be learned from Selene in the Chapel to the South East. Once you can activate it, reutrn to the River Noumenon via the door behind Death's desk. Prayer can be activated successfully right where you spawn.
Owl Be Seeing You Track 8 of the owls in the City of Um. - 90 Necromancy
- Housing of Parliament		 See our Post Quest section on the Housing of Parliament page for locations with map images.
Fetch Me Their Souls Craft a soul rune at the soul altar with a soul cape equipped. - 90 Runecrafting
- 'Phite Club
- Nomad's Elegy		 Any version of the Soul Cape can be used when creating Soul runes in Menaphos.
A Game of Cat and Amascut Speak to Mekhat within the Sanctum of Rebirth. - Icthlarin's Little Helper
- Soul Searching		 Mekhat is accessable once you have defeated Nakatra. You will need to wear some version of the Catspeak amulet. Must be done before all people in the Sanctum leave it as it will reset once all are gone.
