Make your way to the Odd Old Man's hut just west of the limestone quarry, northeast of Varrock. Once there, talk to the Odd Old Man, who will tell you that the Varrock Museum has contacted him about a Fremminik Fur display. He will then instruct you to collect several furs and a crab's carcass, and will tell you how to prepare them. Below is the list of the furs which you need to collect.
Note: The easiest way to reach Varrock is via the Varrock teleport spell.
-
All the creatures can be found in or around the Fremminik Province. You will only need to kill the creatures once to receive their hide. Once you have all the furs and the Rock crab carcass, use a bag of salt with each one to scrub them.
Note: The easiest way to reach the Fremminik Province is via the Rellekka lodestone (if activated), Enchanted lyre teleport, the Ring of slaying teleport option to the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon, or via the Fairy Ring codes AJR, CJR, and DJR. An alternative way is to teleport to Seers' Village using the Camelot teleport spell to and walking northwards. You can collect the furs in any order you choose. The locations listed below are only a suggestion. Some of the monsters may also be found in other locations.
Name Image Where Found Bear pelt Kill a Grizzly bear in the woods just west of the Swaying Tree. Black unicorn hide Kill a Black unicorn in the woods just north of the Swaying tree. Cave crawler skin Kill a Cave crawler in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon. Cockatrice skin Kill a Cockatrice in the Fremennik Slayer Dungeon (requires a Mirror shield). Fenris wolf pelt Kill a Fenris wolf in the woods south of Rellekka. Fox pelt Kill a Fox near the bridge to Seers' Village. Hobgoblin skin Kill a Hobgoblin near the docks north of Rellekka. Rock crab carcass Kill a Rock crab along the coast north of Rellekka. Unicorn hide Kill a Unicorn near the log balance west of the Golden Apple Tree.
-
Head back to the Odd Old Man's hut. On the eastern side of his hut, you will find a large fire pit next to a set of big ribs. Add some logs to the fire pit, then stretch one of the scrubbed hides over the rack of ribs and light the fire using a Tinderbox. Once the fire dies out, the hide will be tanned, and you may collect it from the rack. Repeat this process for the remaining 7 scrubbed furs, with the exception of the Rock crab carcass.
Note: The easiest way to reach Varrock is via the Varrock teleport spell.
-
Once you have all the tanned hides and the Scrubbed rock crab carcass, speak to the Odd Old Man to claim your reward

Once you have bones collected all of the above mentioned items, put them in pots of vinegar like you needed to do in the Rag and Bone Man quest. Take all your bones in vinegar, 20 logs, and a tinderbox back to the Odd Old Man's pot-boiler. Add logs to the pot boiler, put your pot on the boiler, and light the fire. After a while the bone will polish and you can retrieve it. Repeat the process for all of your bones.
-
When all the bones have been polished, give them to the Odd Old Man. He will ask you to take a look at his new creation. Gear up for an impressive fight with a level 320 and meet him behind his house.
-
Once ready, head up the stairs and be prepared to fight the Skeleton Horror.
-
When fighting the Skeleton Horror, it is highly recommended to use the Protect from Magic prayer, and high melee armour. At random intervals, parts of his body will fly off and run around the arena. Catch these bone parts and bury them to severely weaken the Skeletal Horror.
-
After you manage to kill the Skeleton Horror, leave the arena and talk to the Odd Old Man in front of his house. He will then reward you for freeing him of the Skeleton Horror's powers.
Note: After completing the wishlist, you will be able to come back and kill the Skeleton Horror once a week for added experience.
Congratulations! Quest Complete!
